Scenes from a frozen boatttttt!

You may wonder when the thaw came, to enable us to at least turn the boat round and take it back to base! Well, it didn't come!

Ownerships forecast that a thaw would come on the Sunday or Monday - so we stayed an extra weekend... and I phoned to get an extra day off work...but no thaw! S O S to Acton Bridge... and good old Philip came to rescue us! So we fetched the cars, took them to the piece of road nearest the boat, loaded up...and went home! We had managed to turn the boat round, heaving it by its ropes...then Ken came 2 days later to take it back to base! A very enjoyable arctic holiday!
