Jugon-les-Lacs is a small country town in the heart of the Cotes d'Armor and close to the lake. Only 45 minutes from the picturesque ferry port of St Malo and 30 minutes from the coast and numerous golden beaches of the Emerald Coast. We are 15 minutes from the medieval town of Dinan and close to the beautiful Forest of Hundaye.

Our three gites each sleeping 2/6 have been refurbished to retain their original beamed character. 5 minutes drive from the town they are situated in a delightful quiet hamlet. The large garden gives plenty of room to play or just enjoy the countryside. Each gite has a private terrace facing a spacious garden and beyond a field in which the children can also play or in which to take a stroll to the top of the hill.

The beautiful lake at Jugon is the centre for many activities (see page3) but is a wonderful place to walk or just sit and enjoy the view. Similarly the adjacent river Arguenon provides beautiful views and walks with an abundance of wildlife and flora.

The small town of Jugon has a selection of restaurants and enough shops for daily needs. Supermarkets are available at Lamballe in one direction and Dinan in the other.

There can be few locations so ideally suited for easy access to the breathtaking coastline and beaches and yet be in the best of the Brittany countryside.

Carpeted throughout the gites are fitted to a high standard. Each comprises an open plan living area on the ground floor with a full size double sofa bed. On the first floor is a large bedroom with attractive pine furniture including a double bed and two single bunk beds. Two with shower room/toilet/wash basin, the third with bathroom/toilet/washbasin.

All gites are fitted with a smoke alarm, fire blanket and extinguisher, washing machine, small cooker and a full complement of crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment. An ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner are also provided. Stairgates, high chairs and cots available.

All linen, except beach towels and cot linen is provided.

We have been established for 13 years and many of our customers come year after year. We live at La Bournais during the season and service the gites between every letting so that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained.

Enjoy a bottle of wine and a barbeque on your private terrace. Alternatively treat yourself to one of our evening meals available twice a week and served in your gite to order.

Go Karting at Lamballe is one of the more adventurous activities available but at home we provide boules (we have our own boules pitch), badminton and swingball for use in the garden. We have a games room with table tennis, mini football and darts. NB Use of darts is restricted to 15yrs+ unless accompanied by an adult.

We have an assortment of bicycles of various sizes. NB We do not provide cycling helmets.

The lake at Jugon provides many activities including fishing, sailing and canoeing. Locally there is also horse riding, tennis and a swimming pool. There are many wonderful walks around the lake at Jugon, along the Arguenon or in the nearby Forests of Hunaudaye and St Aubin.

The coast of northern Brittany is only 30 minutes drive from the gites and offers miles of golden sands and spectacular views. From small almost uninhabited coves to vast beaches, rugged cliffs and rock pools. From the nearly deserted to the typical seaside resorts like St Val Andre, Erquy, St Cast and Sable d'Or. In the peak season there are beach clubs at Erquy, St Val Andre and St Cast where the children can be left supervised with entertainment and sports equipment. Bathing, boating, windsurfing and surfing are popular sports at nearly all the resorts.

There is an abundance of places to visit whatever your interest. We publish a booklet, available in each gite, with a wealth of suggestions and information. We add to it yearly with our own experiences and those of our visitors.

Although there are fewer activities in the low and mid seasons we highly recommend this time for those wishing to simply enjoy the peace and beauty of this area.
